According to OzNome 5-star Data Rating tool, open data of the Open data portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan “data.gov.uz“ is rated 3.34 stars and official web site of The State Committee on Statistics “stat.uz” is rated 4.47 stars.

OzNome is an initiative to enhance and connect information ecosystems in Australia to realise a digital representation of the nation. The OzNome initiative will provide researchers, industry and key partners with productivity gains via access to self-organising, trusted, curated and managed data ecosystems, and OzNome methods and tools.

One of these tools is 5-star Data Rating tool, and it provides a self-assessment rating scheme against the social, technical and informational attributes of data. The 5-star scheme aims to help users understand how mature some data or a service is.

The 5 star Data Rating tool allows users to carry out a self-assessment based on 5 qualities of data – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable and Trusted. For each quality, a number of specific questions have been curated to allow users to rate their data according to its current state.

The tool then provides users with a rating out of 5 stars for each quality. In doing the self-assessment, users are able to explore ways in which they are able to improve their data collection and how it is accessed by others. Information on the open data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan is published in Uzbek, Russian and English languages, including machine-readable and other formats, exclusively by higher structures of state bodies and organizations of the Republican level, including the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent.

At the moment, there are more than 7 thousand open data sets on the open data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan and about 500 open data sets on State Committee on statistics’ website.
