A solid foundation for the achievement of such results by Uzbekistan in this rating was laid by the decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 9, 2019 No PP-4273 "On additional measures to ensure openness and transparency of public administration, as well as increasing the statistical potential of the country" and dated April 28, 2020 No PP-4699 "On measures for the widespread introduction of the digital economy and e-government". In addition, this achievement is the result of the joint work of the State Committee on Statistics, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, as well as all ministries, departments and local authorities that ensure the openness and transparency of their data and post them on the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan data.gov.uz, as well as financial, technical and expert assistance from the OSCE Project Co-Ordinator in Uzbekistan, the World Bank and UNDP.
