The Republic of Uzbekistan to join the International Open Data Charter

Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 9, 2019 No. PP - 4273 "On additional measures to ensure openness and transparency of public administration, as well as increasing the statistical potential of the country" has created a solid foundation for our country to achieve a number of successes in the field of open data.

In particular, in the 2020/2021 Open Data Inventory (ODIN) rating, the Republic of Uzbekistan rose by 125 positions, taking 44th place in the world and 1st place in Central Asia. In addition, Uzbekistan received the highest score on the «Open Government Data Index» in the UN E-Government Survey 2020.

In turn, the head of state instructed the State Committee on Statistics and relevant ministries and departments to carry out a number of tasks to further improve the position of our country in international indices and ratings related to the field of Open Data.

In particular, the accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the International open data Charter, the development of a new improved version of the open data portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2021, etc.
