On January 26, 2021, representatives of the State Committee on Statistics took part in a videoconference meeting organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the International Transport Forum (ITF).
This meeting is part of a series of virtual meetings dedicated to monitoring mobility and is a platform for exchanging views on the most important issues of statistical practice.
From the state statistics Committee the meeting was attended by the head of the Department for monitoring and coordination of the open data portal Akrom sultans and head of the Department of complex statistical surveys in the service sector, transport and communications infrastructure AlisherRakhimov.
In the program of the meeting, international experts Mr. M. Alessandro Alasia, (Canada), Ms. Viviana Munoz, (Chile), Mr. M. MarkkuKivari, (Finland) presented presentations on urban mobility models
Using big data, to highlight the widespread use of mobility data in transport planning, urban development and tourism projects, as well as to develop more reliable tools for modeling transport demand, as well as complex tools for analyzing the road situation by combining mobility datawith real-time data sources.
The presentation resulted in a discussion and exchange of views on how best to promote international cooperation on new sources of mobility data.
Participation in this meeting will improve the methodology for collecting statistical information on transport and will serve to achieve the goals set by the roadmap for the implementation of the"National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2020-2025".
