On May 24-28 this year, an Open Data Watch expert visited Uzbekistan

From 24 to 28 May 2021, the State Committee on statistics, with the support of the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, organized training seminars with a representative of the Open Data Watch organization, which is responsible for the international ranking of Open Data Inventory (ODIN), Jamison Crowell.
During these training seminars, an agreement was reached to organize seminars, trainings and webinars in the future in order to improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) rating.At training seminars also discussed general concepts of the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) rating, quality, openness, and data coverage.
Also, on May 28, Jamison Crowell, a representative of the Open Data Watch organization, visited the statistics department of the Samarkand region and held a seminar on the topic of openness and transparency of data and further improvement of their quality.
These works will allow us to further develop the field of open data in our country, improve the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in ODIN and other ratings and indexes that evaluate open data in the world.
For reference, Uzbekistan, according to the Open Data Inventory (ODIN) rating, scored 63 points and took 44th place in the world and 1st place in Central Asia, and also rose 125 positions in the ODIN rating.
