On December 7, 2018, Inha University in Tashkent hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the Open Data Challenge.

The event with introductory speech rector of Inha University M. Jalalov, who expressed his gratitude to all participants and guests of the ceremony.

Then the floor was given to the Director of the e-government Center Z. Rakhmatullayev, who noted that "Open data are increasingly important not only in the development of information technologies, but also in the development of the economy of each country in the world."        

The event was also attended by British Ambassador Christopher Allen. "I hope that all participants have discovered something new, met new people and identified areas for further development, which was the essence of the Hackathon" - K. Allan spoke in Russian.

Senior Advisor to the OSCE project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Mr. jürgen Becker, in his welcoming speech, said: "Who owns the information, owns the world, and this means that the one who shares the information, shares his power."

Only 200 participants passed the test task, of which 48 teams were formed.

Many interesting projects were presented in the competition, for example, one of the teams proposed to measure the level of greening of the city using satellite images, the other came up with a service that produces a semantic analysis of the text in the comments.

It is important to note that during the event there was an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect, where the teams openly exchanged their developments and ideas.

1st place:  Комтек team;

2nd place: STUIborn team;

3rd place: Kaizen team.

2) "Best business project based on open data»

1st place: AdGram team;

2nd place: BIZPLACE team;

3rd place: COUT team.

3) "Best open data generation project»

1st place: Sudden Jump team;

2nd place: CodeSys team;

3rd place: HiTouch team.

The organizers presented valuable prizes and diplomas to the winners.

Also the competition scored a team captained by 12-year-old Muhammadyusuf of Mukhametyanov. The guys showed the highest activity during the Hackathon, and developed a full-fledged website for the development of tourism in the country and showed their vision of the future of our country, using advanced virtual reality technologies.

The team that won the Grand Prix of the competition (a trip to Madrid, a Grand conference – a global platform where technical companies and business consultants demonstrate innovative products and solutions) was the Sudden Jump, which developed the Signum program, which allows you to collect and display data about the signal level of different mobile operators on the map.

In conclusion, we would like to say that the contest provided an opportunity for young people to realize their grandiose ideas and ideas and we hope that next year there will be more participants who want to change the world and improve the lives of citizens with their innovative products and solutions.
