On December 20, 2020, the World Bank office in Uzbekistan hosted a seminar on "Data management Development" for representatives of government agencies and the National project management Agency.

On December 18, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on statistics, in cooperation with Amity University in Tashkent and the world Bank office in Uzbekistan, held a training seminar "data Management in the public sector".

Uzbekistan is entered Top 10 open data sources Country lists with 52 open data sources among 100 countries according to Open Data Inception.

On December 13, 2019, the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent organized open data events "Open Data Day 2019", Hackathon "Open Data Challenge 2019" and training on "data Journalism, data visualization, software data processing", as well as a competition to prepare the best journalistic material based on open data. The event was attended by the management and heads of departments of the State Committee on statistics, as well as representatives of the media.

From 13 to 15 December 2019 in the building of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent will be held a conference on open data "Open Data Day 2019" and a contest (hackathon) for the development of applications based on open data "Open Data Challenge 2019", aimed at promoting the concept of open data, the development of IT-entrepreneurship and the economy of the country.

10th anniversary of International Open Data Day will take place

On November 20 this year, in the State Committee on Statistics was organized a training course "Access to open data” for employees of ministries, organisations and banks of our country.

Open data portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan data.gov.uz and official web site of The State Committee on Statistics stat.uz reached the silver level according to the Open Data Institute (ODI).

On November 4, 2019, representatives of the delegation of the Government Communications Service of the United Kingdom of Great Britain held a seminar at the State Committee on Statistics.

Starting from October 29 current year, Inha University in Tashkent will hold qualification courses "Access to open data” for employees of ministries and departments.

The open data portal of The Republic of Uzbekistan (data.gov.uz) has achieved Bronze level with community certified of Open Data Certificate by the Open Data Institute.

The international conference on open data "Open Data Tashkent 2019" was held on September 27 this year at Inha University in Tashkent within the framework of ICT week "ICT Week-Uzbekistan 2019".

Within the framework of the ICT Week of Uzbekistan “ICTWEEK UZBEKISTAN 2019”, an open data conference “Open Data Tashkent 2019” will be held!

On 1 August , 2019,  the English version of the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan was launched.

On December 7, 2018, Inha University in Tashkent hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the Open Data Challenge.

Today it has been 13 days, as the reception of applications for participation in the competition "Open Data Challenge" (the Hackathon).
